Itinerary
Day 1
Depart aboard our deluxe motorcoach as we head south to lovely Ocean City, MD! We’ll spend 3 nights directly on the beach at the QUALITY INN BOARDWALK HOTEL. Relax in your OCEANFRONT ROOM and step out onto your PRIVATE BALCONY overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Boardwalk. Welcome dinner tonight at a local restaurant.
Day 2
Depart with our local guide for a visit to ASSATEAGUE ISLAND with its dunes, marshes & unspoiled wilderness, home to many birds...and the FAMOUS WILD PONIES! These “beach-horses” have extraordinary endurance & strength. Visit the charming historic town of Berlin on which Disney’s movie “Tuck Everlasting” is based and where “Runaway Bride” was filmed. This afternoon board the ASSATEAGUE EXPLORER ECO TOUR CRUISE. We’ll look for wild ponies, dolphins, bald eagles, shorebirds and more as we cruise along the National Wildlife Refuge at Assateague. Dinner tonight at a local restaurant.
Day 3
Join our local guide as we make our way to FENWICK ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE. Hear about the historic significance of this landlocked unique lighthouse. Visit the DISCOVER SEA MUSEUM. The owner and curator will share his diving excavations along the Atlantic Coast, see artifacts recovered from the many sunken 1700s shipwrecks. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure: enjoy the boardwalk or take a swim in the pool. Farewell dinner tonight.
Day 4
Say goodbye to Ocean City as we head towards home with warm memories of this fun trip to Maryland!
